My interest in nature and wildlife started in my early years in primary school. I grew up in the Rift Valley, an area in Kenya with a lot of wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. I began to understand the importance of conservation to protect our beautiful country’s rich heritage.

After my high school education, I joined the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya for training in Tourism. In addition, I did a course in Restaurant and Hospitality Management. The Wildlife Research Centre where I learnt most about Wildlife. The highlight of my guiding exposure was at Mara Bushtops camp that borders the Maasai Mara Game Reserve where I gained the most experience in guiding and wildlife spotting. I joined Speke’s Camp in 2022 and have had wonderful Safaris with clients from all parts of the world.I love travelling and especially to see wildlife. I cannot wait to share with you what Kenya has to offer!

I grew up in Samburu county as well as Laikipia where my parents lived. Our family moved with livestock looking for green pastures and water. I really encountered amazing and fascinating wildlife in my younger years. I saw volunteer rangers in my village, my father being one of them.I found it fascinating to monitor and protect animals.

My dream came true when one of my friends at Samburu lodge gave a lecture about animals and plants. He gave me a pocket mammals book, that is when my journey began. I have been guiding since 2003 I have done various courses on plants, insects and birds. I have been guiding from 2003 -2004 at Marala lodge in Maralal, 2005 -2017 Sosian Lodge in Laikipia and finally from 2017- to-date with Speke’s Camp in Mara.

I grew up in Mbooni, Makueni county which has lots of hill’s & Forrest’s. Growing up my family would always have conflict with wild game, especially elephants who would destroy all our crops.

This conflict pushed me to learn more about these animals and how we could co-exist together. I Grew a passion to learn about the animals we share a home with. I have over ten years of experience.
